Jeremy Toeman
Jeremy Toeman is an expert in the convergence of digital media and consumer technology. He has spent over 10 years designing, and marketing numerous award-winning consumer electronics products and Web services. Jeremy is the founder and managing partner of Stage Two, a strategic marketing and media relations firm he launched in 2006. At Stage Two he has consulted with Boxee, VUDU, DivX, the Boxee Box by D-Link, Clicker.com, and many other consumer technology companies.
Before founding Stage Two, Jeremy joined Sling Media in 2004 as VP of Product Management. He was responsible for guiding development of the Slingbox from conception to launch, helping take the vision of the founders and shape it into a physical product. Jeremy specifically participated in guiding user interface and interaction model design for the SlingPlayer PC software as well as the SlingPlayer Mobile software. Since launch, the Slingbox and its corresponding software components have won numerous industry awards.
In 1999, Jeremy co-founded Mediabolic, a software company that provided digital media networking technology to consumer electronics and computer manufacturers (acquired by Macrovision in 2007). While at Mediabolic, Jeremy contributed to the design of digital home devices for companies including Pioneer Electronics, HP, Fujitsu, and Denon. Jeremy also sat on the steering committees for DLNA and the UPnP AV Working Group.
Jeremy holds a B.S. in Economics and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He is Canadian. Go Habs.
