Client News: Automatic Video Editing Service Magisto Launches to the Public

Today, our client Magisto launched their automatic video editing to the public. Magisto’s free, web-based video editing service that automatically turns any unedited video footage into short, fun movies to share with friends and family. They also announced a $5.5 million Series B round led by Li Ka-shing’s private investment arm, Horizons Ventures that also includes original investor Magma Venture Partners, so that’s awesome!

Client News: Evoz Launches Public Beta for their Unlimited Range Baby Monitor

Today, our client Evoz, is opening the public beta for their unlimited range baby monitor. With Evoz, parents can monitor their baby from anywhere they have a cell phone connection. If you’re too busy to listen in, Evoz will proactively send texts, emails or phone calls when your baby is crying because it understands the difference between a cry and background noise. Evoz also collects information that lets parents better understand the health and wellbeing of their children.

To join the beta, download the app to two iOS devices (one to be the monitor in the baby’s room and one to your phone to use as the receiver). As a beta participant, you’ll receive two weeks of the premium service free. To check it out, visit www.myevoz.com.

Client News: MediaMall Brings the DVR to Online Video with the PlayLater Beta

Today, one of our clients, Media Mall Technologies, the creator of wireless streaming service PlayOn, announced the closed beta for PlayLater, the DVR for online video. PlayLater let’s you record and watch almost any video content available online, even when you’re offline.

PlayLater is great for people who travel, commuters, or anyone who’s not connected to the Internet all the time. It brings all the functionality of a standard DVR to online video—tell PlayLater what shows to record and PlayLater will record them so you can watch when it’s convenient for you.

Client News: Tynt Releases Publisher Tools

Today, Tynt announced their Publisher Tools, a new offering for publishers that allows them key insights into how their content is being shared. Tynt Publisher Tools has 4 features: Tynt Keywords, Tynt Social, Tynt Content and Tynt Publisher API. With these new tools, publishers can take action based on where their content is going within the social stream and find out what words are driving traffic to and from their site.

Client News: Pogoplug Raises $15 Million

Today Pogoplug announced today it has received $15 Million in funding  from new investors Softbank Capital and Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners (AIP) and existing investor Foundry Group.

Pogoplug will use the funds to continue to expand the global distribution of the Pogoplug service and devices (they recently opened an office in Israel!)

Client News: Superfish has raised a Series C round of funding

Congratulations Superfish! Our client, Superfish has announced today a Series C round of funding from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures, Individuals’ Venture Fund and Xenia Venture Capital.

Superfish is setting the standard for visual product search, making it easy for consumers to find identical or similar images and products based on the “visual DNA” of nearly any image. The money will go towards expanding operations, boosting market position, building channel and enhancing product innovation and development.

Client News: Pogoplug unveils Pogoplug Pro!

Today Pogoplug announced the third generation of it’s award-winning Pogoplug device, Pogoplug Pro. Pogoplug Pro adds one of the biggest customer requests, integrated wireless to the already lengthy list of features. Not only does Pro add built-in wireless, the color has changed from pink to black.

Pogoplug Pro is available starting today in Best Buy stores nationwide for $99.

Client News: Redux partners with MySpace

Today Redux announced they are partnering with MySpace to bring the over 100 million MySpace users a unique lean-back video and photo discovery experience. Redux will appear on Myspace users’ homepages and will provide customized video and photos based on the user and their friends’ likes, dislikes, interests, and more.

Client News: Pogoplug features and products go live today!

Today Pogoplug announced that their web printing feature is now live, via an automatic firmware update to Pogoplug users. Pogoplug users can now print from iPhones, iPads, Android Devices, and more.

They also announced their latest products, Pogoplug Biz and the Wireless Extender, begin shipping today. The Pogoplug Biz edition, designed specifically for businesses, provides all the original features of the Pogoplug plus specific features that work for your business. The Wireless Extender allows for Pogoplug to be 100% wireless, giving users the freedom to place their Pogoplug wherever they like in their home or business!
